Vapnartak 2011

Sunday 6 February 2011 ·

Well I have just returned from a fantastic day at York race course in the company of many fine wargamers and their very patient looking partners/spouses.

The setup, loaction and general ethos of the place were excellent. The three/four floors of sales stands and gaming tables were packed when I was there with representations form most of the large wargames companies. All of the demonstration games were extremely well made historical scenarios with excellent tables and beautifully painted forces. The bring and battle seemed mostly 40k and there were also some wonderful forces on show.

Generally a fantastic day out I advise it for next year, especially as it is so close and at such a great venue. Makes me want to start playing more historical wargames. Salute in April anyone?

Thanks

If some kind of transport can be sorted out, I'd love to go to some of these conventions. Unfortunately for the vehically-challenged it's quite difficult ;)

I was supposed to go to the 40k tourny, but didnt end up going. The problem I find when going to these places is I end up buying ten thousand pointless things, like twenty different types of paint, obsure scenery stuff. My bro went as he lives in York and he did exactly that and Im jealous so Im defo going next year!
