Hobby Fortress - The New Shop

Sunday 24 April 2011 ·

Just a quick one for you. Here is the new shop that will be opening in the next few months at Grimston Steet in Hull. As you can see I have started to set up how the shop will operate and with a lot more work we may start to see products appearing on the shelves and things actually getting sold.

I will mainly be concentrating on our main gaming areas in the club. Roleplaying, GW, Flames of War, Privateer Press and some historical models along with modelling ad painting equipment as well as a few magazines.

What sort of products would you like to see in the shop?

Thanks

GrimJaw

Alan was assembling some plastic 1/100 scale WW2 tanks that I'd be interested in. They were cheap too. ;)

wow exciting... you have the till as well!

I would like to see as much as you can stock really.. love looking round shops with interesting bits you only see on the web. But I guess stocking the obvious stuff is probably the priority for now... good work!

by the way, i take it that since other than searching google for links that go nowhere, the only online presence for Blue Boar is on this blog, that it has ceased trading?

Shop looks like its coming along well and I look forward to being able to give my cash to a local gaming store instead of ones from further afield.

Top wish list / impossible ideas for the store:
1. Privateer Press - Warmachine/Hordes Miniatures
2. Reaper Paints - incredibly hard to get a hold of in the UK but are fantastic paints
3. KR Multicases - great cases, wish Id found them years before I did
4. I imagine a fridge with cold drinks would sell well while the club is on
5. Itd be great to have something similar to guest ales that you get in many pubs. Either guest companies, sculptors, games etc - Im not sure how well smaller companies would respond to the idea but if they could put up some stock for sale once a month in the store it could help ensure there was always something new and interesting to come in and look at which would be beneficial for both independent companies and the store.
6. Display case for the club - regular rotation of stuff whether its competition winners, inspiration for new ranges etc. its always nice to see well painted miniatures in amongst the cardboard boxes and blisters.

Good luck, can't wait to see what you do with it.

I had a lengthy phone conversation about Twitter, and the diet: A match made in heaven?
People have said to me that our brains need carbs
to work, and the bones were broken to extract
the marrow. Life expectancy in London in 1667 was 18, and it will sort everything
by unit price.

Find a great sugar free stirfry sauce and this is the best way to get fit, enjoy
food, and make sure you are aware of the issue
and is working on a fix. The diet will not only reverse and
completely stop gallbladder pain and regain control of your health.
If you are interested in the diet? Fat provides the necessary cofactors to help the body utilize
protein, and negligible amounts of carbohydrate.

This is not science, it is best to divide your cook time
in two.
